I made this outfit with the intentions of wearing it to a wedding three years ago. Little did I know the happy couple would end up getting a divorce in less then thirty days of tying the knot.

I was very sad for the newlyweds but I also know how tricky life can get at times. Nonetheless, am grateful they made whatever decisions was right for them. I ended up not attending the wedding which turned out for the best.

Fast forward three years later on a perfect summer day, I was invited to attend a function on Capital Hill. The first thing that came to mind for me to wear was my beautifully made Ankara dress which turned out to be the perfect attire to wear for the evening.

I love the vibrancy of African prints. It always stands out in a crowd. Ankara can be worn at any occasion depending on the design and how you wear it. African prints are a timeless trend and will never go out of style.

Its so nice to turn on the news and see my local reporter in an ankara dress or shirt. Am pleasantly surprised when on a beach and see a hot girl in a hot print. I love seeing it on my favorite actors as they grace the red carpets all around the globe.

Ankara is the new highlight of fashion and this summer and going to show you my darlings how I like to rock it, starting with this look.
