Urban Lights in Black and White
Like an open-air Greek temple, Los Angeles County Museum of Art basks in the glow of 202 vintage street lamps, lighting up the western edge of the city’s Miracle Mile and i wanted to be part of it. Urban Light is an installation by the late Chris Burden, who collected the lamp posts over many years, most of them originating from a wide swath of Southern California urban settings. Painted a uniform steel gray, the lamps vary in size, but join together to form a solar-powered escape from the traffic on Wilshire Boulevard, just beyond its blaze. I decided to shoot this black and white look at this location spontaneously. It was so much fun and i enjoyed every minute of it.Outfit details are at the bottom of the page. Hope you like the look darlings and please feel free to leave a comment below.
