Pretty Woman Moment on Rodeo Drive

The contrast of pink and red is very bold and very glamorous. When it comes to fashion and how I like to look, am all about standing out in a bold, artistic, classy, and luxurious way. This eye catching choice of pink and red did just that for me. When it comes to shopping in the United States it doesn’t get more glamorous then the iconic Rodeo Drive. In the heart of Beverly Hills, three blocks of Rodeo Drive are home to the epicenter of luxury, fashion and lifestyle. Rodeo Drive hosts a collection of exclusive events ranging from luxurious jewelry festivals to seasonal holiday spectaculars. These annual must-see events are featured only on Rodeo. I was first introduced to this fashion haven in my teenage years watching the movie “Pretty Woman” and admiring Julia Roberts as she walked down Rodeo Drive going from store to store getting all the fabulous designer finds she could get her hands on. I absolutely loved that moment in the movie  and knew that I would one day have my Pretty Woman moment on Rodeo Drive.

While on a quick weekend trip to Los Angeles I decided to go visit some of my favorite designers stores on Rodeo and treat myself to some fabulous bags and shoes and of course I wanted to do it in style. That day I had dinner plans at a very fancy restaurant nearby so I decided to wear something that would be appropriate for both outings and this pink and red wardrobe was perfect for the occasion. Today the Spring Summer 2018 collections offer red and pink, rigorously together.

The secret is not being afraid to dare, since this color combination has now become widely popular. I went with a beautiful pink vintage Roberto Cavalli satin skirt with two splits on the side. The skirt was feminine, simple and so stylish all at the same time so I decided to wear it with a flirty red chiffon blouse from ASOS to give it some spice. I knew I wanted to wear sexy yet comfortable heels so I matched my look with the cutest silver Versace heels with gold details that I had purchased some years ago in Vegas. 

It was a beautiful summer day but still a bit chilly so I polished my look with an elegant round glitter framed sunglasses by Miu Miu and the most fabulous bright pink fur stole that finished the entire look. When bold colors are done well you can feel like a million bucks and that’s exactly how I felt in my bold pink and red look, having my very own Pretty Woman moment on Rodeo Drive.
